Wow, someone sent me a picture of me when I was 16 or 18 or so, and I thought those were lost forever. It got me thinking how I used to live the musician life for so many years, and now people that I've met after the fact that haven't heard me play, just don't see me as possibly being this guy. Anyone else gone through changes over the years? Pardon the finger

Then/Now:

LOL I pretty much went through the same changes in appearance. (Long hair young rock star look to the clean shaven business man look) Internally ...... I haven't changed a bit except for a little smarter from experiences! I can't find an old pic right now but will post one as soon as I find it.

I don't have a picture to post but I must say...I've gone backwards. I started out clean shaven and nice looking and now I have a goatee that's about 5" in length and my hair is fairly short. But then again...I'm a tradesman and I don't have to look pretty to do my job. Cool

The side benefit is that the cops don't watch to search my car if I get pulled over.

The downside is that the girls around town don't say "I love your hair" and want to run their fingers through it.

Pros and cons, pros and cons. Anyway, I'd feel awkward with long hair now. My hair is usually a lot shorter than the new image taken this month.

Same here. I kept the military look after getting out of the ARMY for about 10 yeas, and a few years back I grew a goatee and started growing my hair.

Long hair is such a pain in the butt to maintain! Laughing

I never had to do anything when I had long hair, so I was used to it, but anymore, I'd just feel way too awkward sporting that look. Been too long, not my thing anymore. But then again, what is my thing? It's best not to think about it. :-)

Amen brother! It caught up with me too. When I first joined the military, I thought to myself "I can't wait to get out and grow my hair however I want to." By the time I got out, nature had taken care of my hairstyle for me. There is only so much left, and the only style that looks right is SHORT!

Speaking of short hair, I thought "shaved head". Some people look normal with a shaved head, even good. Not me though (not that I ever did or would). That angle of the newer picture almost makes it look like I have a receding hairline. Luckily, it's not actually moved, just the angle makes it look that way to me. I would look seriously goofy being bald. Some people can pull it off, and some people, like me, could not. :-)

I usually shave mine down to a number one. If I try to grow it out I end up with Bob Dylan hair because mine's so damn thick. It won't go long it just puffs out like an afro. Too badd I have to wear a hardhat at work or I'd totally let it grow out a bit and I bet because it's so thick I could probably pull off some awesome dreadlocks.
